Publisher's Summary:
The Conversation: An Intimate Journal of the Emmaus Encounter is a unique and riveting reconstruction from the unnamed disciples account found in Luke 24 regarding his journey with Cleopas on the road to Emmaus after witnessing Jesuss crucifixion and burial, along with hearing claims of His empty tomb.
Suddenly, a Stranger begins walking with them. With their eyes "prevented" from recognizing Him as the risen Lord Jesus Christ - Yeshua the Messiah, their new, wise Traveling Companion correlates the Old Covenant Scriptures, by way of Moses and the prophets, with what they witnessed.
This journal is your opportunity to eavesdrop and learn what that conversation might have been like, as pertinent prophecies unfold revealing evidence that the Messiahs suffering, death, burial, and resurrection were, in fact, specifically foretold.
"The Conversation brings to life that famous encounter between the two disciples and our Lord Jesus on the road to Emmaus. While it is based in part on an imaginative reconstruction, it is filled with the throbbing pulse of the excitement of the sensational impact that our Lords resurrection should have on all of our lives." - Dr. Walter C. Kaiser, Jr., president emeritus, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary
"This little book does a big thing. It takes the age-old truths of the prophetic accuracy of the Bible and communicates it in an appealing literary format. In so doing, it portrays one of the great apologetic tools of the Christian faith in an engaging and readable form." - Dr. Norman Geisler, distinguished professor of apologetics, Veritas Evangelical Seminary
"I found The Conversation remarkable and riveting. [Judy Salisbury] did a fantastic job with the Scriptures, networking them all together with profound significance - the mark of a seasoned apologist. The book, as a whole, is fascinating, captivating, eye-opening, and doctrinally sound." - Jennifer Sands, 9/11 widow, international Christian speaker, author
"An interesting story, though fictional, yet The Conversation rings with possibility. I pray that it will have a wide reading and that many will come to believe that Yeshua is the Messiah of Israel." - Dr. David Hocking, founder, Hope for Today

A Bit of a Boring "Conversation"
As a fairly regular Bible-reader who loves apologetics and prophecy, I was pretty excited when I first found out about this book. I bought it for a quick read on a road trip. I hate to say it, but I was quite disappointed in the book. It's been about 3 months since I read it now, and I have to say that I honestly don't even remember much about it. The author had a GREAT concept/idea, but I feel it was poorly executed. I was looking forward to discovering new verses of Scripture from the OT that foretold of Jesus' first coming...but really, all that's included in the "Conversation" between the three protagonists is a lot of fluff and the obvious Bible references that anybody who's read the Bible once would be aware of. Sorry, but I would say "pass" on this one.
It is though I was walking on the road to Emmaus
Often, I have imagined what the conversation with the risen Lord might have contained.
