BOOM! out of no where, it's about race..... not even convinced a little; that that's the cause of the differences. stupid. why even compare? what's the point of that?
this podcast was so emotional and heartbreaking to listen to... the recorded audio was almost too much for me to handle... but very well produced, easy to binge, but did they really need to throw in the George Floyd nonsense? no, it really wasn't needed and I hate when podcasts push certain political opinions and whatnot... regardless, the podcast gets a 90% from me
I really hope the Butlers filed a lawsuit as well.
I really enjoyed this series. It brings back the fear and thoughts of that the government sometimes has way to much power and are not objective enough, and has No one checking on them or no one that they isn't any over seeing them and what they are doing or not doing. thanks for the reminder that we are all human and we have no idea of what it is like to walk in someone else's shoes.
Those poor families. Especially the Butlers. Disgusting behavior. Our system is so broken.
The amount that my jaw dropped when the judge held CPS responsible via Nyisha's (spelling?) testimony.... I'm not sure I'll ever get my jaw back......How RARELY is a govt entity called out and MONETARILY PENALIZED?!?! Oooohhhhhhh this case sure shook somethings up in TX...
I am writing a script about Cyfd "cps" of new Mexico. it is based on some of the true sorry of my personal experience with the system here in new Mexico but it also includes fiction of what some possibilities could be of why a system would be so messed up. I am in final edits right now. I hope the story gets on the big screen to open people's eyes to how it's hard to trust the system
Why did CPS do this? Why lie? What's going on with Texas CPS? That's what I want to know.
Oh this is so upsetting! They should have lost their jobs or been thrown in jail!
of course NBC takes the white privilege angle. if it's going to be about race, let's talk about how the black social workers reached their positions. how much of a bump did their SAT scores give them to get their degrees? how much was "diversity" factored in when they were hired. the Brights found the money to hire the best lawyer they could. that's the reason they won their case. so sick of this race narrative that picks and chooses what facts matter.
that lavar and his boss are pieces of shit
