His book "Overthrow: A Century of Regime Change from Hawaii to Iraq" is a must read for any serious student of foreign policy. He gives some very unique observations about Afghanistan. Did you know that we had U.S. soldiers doing voter registration there? One soldier was killed registering voters. Is that what they are trained to do? FUBAR, is what it is.
