The Election
Description
I am guessing most of you know, or assume you know, who I voted for. We all feel passionately about who we voted for and why. At this point, everyone has big feelings, so let's be kind.
Now that the election is over, I have several concerns, the most immediate being that we take a minute to make decisions that are in alignment with who we are and not made in haste driven by anger, joy, rage, excitement, pain, or entitlement.
What we saw happen last election season with the white house being stormed was unacceptable, and I really hope we find it within us to be examples of taking the higher ground. This doesn’t mean we don’t have a voice. It means that we show up in ways that prove who we really are and what we stand for.
We do this by not suppressing whatever feelings we are currently having, but by acknowledging those feelings in safe places.
But how do we do that?! Where do we start?!
