Crop circles are geometric, patterned formations mysteriously carved into farm fields. In a way, they are farm-sized snowflakes. They have been observed all around the world, but primarily in the United Kingdom. To see a crop circle in person or in a color photograph speaks a thousand words. The natural inclination is to conclude they are fakes; an open-minded inquiry may lead us to ask more questions.
