Listen to an excerpt from one of Carl Jacobsen's letters to his son Helge Jacobsen. Helge was 21 at the time, and had started to develop an interest in modern French Art. As he makes clear in the letter, Carl Jacobsen does not share his son's enthusiasm for the Impressionists.
