She discusses the grit it takes to start a practice, including hiring mistakes and firing employees who didn’t align with her vision. “The credentials after their name don’t mean as much as the person.”
In addition to growing her clinic, Dr. Pennington leveraged social media to expand her reach, posting skincare routine videos with SkinCeuticals products on TikTok during the pandemic to boost her presence and engagement.
Starting a practice takes grit, there are no shortcuts. You have to put your boots on the ground and go for it. As someone who has done this, I can attest.
