Felix Meritis is one of the Netherlands most remarkable and important historical buildings. Lying on one of the grandest canals in Amsterdam, it has been the centre of the Dutch Enlightenment, the headquarters of the Communist Party of the Netherlands and in the 1960’s and 70’s a world-famous theatre.
