The meaning of Mahala or Mehla in Gurbani allows us to understand that the Guru is an eternal wisdom that does not change. Here we explore the idea that one Guru is eternal and existed before the beginning of time. It is that same Guru that appeared into the 10 physical bodies of the Sikh Gurus and is present in Guru Granth Sahib jee as Shabad, the 'word' of divine wisdom.
