The Grey Range Podcast – Ep. 07 w/ Ben Bauce – “The Comedian”
Description
Well, this one was almost a “lost episode.” Time constraints, bad memory cards, sloppy camera positioning, all contributed to making this the most challenging episode to produce so far, but we persevered, and we are happy to bring to you our funniest episode yet!
Ben Bauce spends his daylight hours in construction, but for the last 7 years he has spent his nights perfecting his hand at yet another trade, stand-up comedy. And he’s good. Hilarious.
On a recent gig at the Great Northern Casino, Ben was hosting “Kokanee Comedy Night”, and had some time to stop in and share his story about how he got started in stand-up and get us laughing in the studio. Due to a scheduling conflict on my end, we had to cut the recording short, so Ben offered to send me some of his recent material, and dude… I died at least twice.
So happy to see a good friend making a go at chasing a dream. There’s a lesson here about how struggle can sometimes bring out our true desires and make us face ourselves as we are. If we can silence the noise, and listen carefully, sometimes we can hear the call of our lives down some unknown path that changes who we are forever.
Sometimes, that noise is laughter.
Thanks,
Ben, for coming on and sharing your story, and for making us laugh.
Can’t wait to do it again.
For all our viewers, listeners, and new subscribers, you’re gonna love this one.
Come see.
We hope you enjoy viewing and listening to this podcast as much as we did making it.
