The city of New Orleans in the American state of Louisiana is magical.  I fell in love with this place the second I walked off the plane.  It creeps into your heart without you noticing, and when its there, it stays forever.  This place not just beautiful with its green spaces and bright pops of colour everywhere.  The food is to die for, and there always a hint of a song in the air.  This city also embraces their past, even though much of their history is very dark indeed.
