The Hidden Danger Of Chocolate

Did you know that Lindt & Sprüngli, the renowned Swiss chocolatier, is currently facing a class-action lawsuit in the United States concerning allegations of elevated levels of heavy metals lead and cadmium in its dark chocolate products. The lawsuit, initiated in February 2022 was spurred by a 2022 Consumer Reports investigation that tested 28 dark chocolate bars sold in the U.S., revealing that certain Lindt products (including 70% and 85% cacao bars) contained higher-than-acceptable levels of these heavy metals!
So today, I'm going to dive into lead, the sources (including chocolate), impacts of exposure and what we can do to both prevent high lead exposure and detox our bodies daily, from inevitable sources. Yes, I chat about what chocolate I'll be reaching for instead.
