Description

Dr. Prity Dal lives in Mumbai, India and is a dentist by training and prenatal and postnatal fitness expert. She specializes in working with people with diastasis recti, which is what we will be talking about today. We talked about the importance of allowing our body to heal fully before following the mainstream push to "snap back" after birth. Prity stresses that mindful movement and awareness of our body postures, highly impacts our chance of worsening or producing diastasis. We go into depth about what specific movements to avoid, what movement to do and how to support a strong recovery postpartum.

“So in the past 8 months I must have done 30 consultations and out of that only 3 didn't have diastasis. The rest, 27 people had diastasis, so it is that common. ” - Prity Dal
