Dan Freid started in the casino business in 1994 as a cage cashier at Whiskey Pete’s Casino on the California and Nevada border. Shortly after, he began working at Station Casinos, a large gaming company with 18 properties and about 12,000 team members. He worked for Station Casinos for 22 years. While there, he attended college and earned his MBA. During Dan’s years at Station Casinos, he held various positions in the casino cage and slots, culminating in the Director of Slot Operations position at the Palms Resort and Casino just off the Las Vegas Strip. In 2016, he went to New York to open Jake’s 58 as the Senior Director of Operations, where he worked to help the team open the casino and run the daily operations. At that time, the casino was managed by Delaware North. In 2019, Dan was promoted to Assistant General Manager for Jake’s 58, which is the position he holds today.
