In this month’s Deep Dive, Toby discusses Janet Malcolm’s The Journalist and the Murderer, a take down of last month’s book Fatal Vision by Joe McGinnis. Malcolm examines the relationship between journalist and subject and her conclusions caused a stir.
Joining Toby are Meg Heckman, assistant professor of journalism at Northeastern U., and former host of Radio Free Dystopia; Alyce McGovern, associate professor of Criminology at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and Debra Lattanzi Shutika, folklorist and professor at George Mason U., where she researches narrative criminology.
