About Donna:

Donna Copas has been encountering what her people call the Watchers since she was six years old. Raised in the country on a 300-acre farm, she grew up deeply connected to the land and the natural world around her. Her father was a hunter, trapper, and root digger, and through him she learned to live in harmony with the woods from an early age.

Of Shawnee descent, Donna was taught that the beings commonly referred to as “Bigfoot” are known as the Watchers—ancient, aware, and an integral part of the natural world. These beings have been a consistent presence throughout her life, forming a relationship that she describes as mutual and ongoing.

Donna continues to live in the country today and spends much of her time in the woods, maintaining a lifelong bond with the land, its rhythms, and the Watchers who inhabit it.
