Jackie has had a distinguished career in education and was awarded an OBE in 2002 for developing innovative 'learning to learn' and Metacognition programmes that raised achievement for both students and teachers. Since 2006 she has been training teachers and leaders all over the world in the latest strategies for developing resilience, independent learners and a growth mindset culture in the classroom.

Today we talk about why Jackie thinks about Metacognition as being like magic, the value of having a growth mindset and some of the important links between wellbeing and metacognition. We also talk about some of the ways schools can start exploring metacognitive practices for both their staff and students.
