Wayne's imagination, mixed with the loss of a safe haven in his neighborhood and the lack of that moving music of the 1970's, along with the curse of addiction upon himself and within his community, pushed him to be creative. Wayne thought if he could create something from nothing, such as a song or poem, then his life might be worth something.
Wayne Bowman lives in Brooklyn, New York and has been a train attendant with Amtrak for twenty-six years.
