Está canción habla de un joven artista que fue a la guerra y regreso muerto. Se cree que fue escrita por el poeta irlándes Thomas Moore (1779 - 1852) para conmemorar a unos amigos poetas que murieron durante la rebelión irlandesa de 1798 contra la tirania inglesa.

Está versión es la que aparece en la película "Black Hawk Down" lo cual no deja de ser irónico, ya que a pesar de mostrarse en desacuerdo con las acciones imperialistas del gobierno de los EE.UU. termina presentando gente dispuesta a arriesgar su vida para salvar la de sus compañeros sin preguntarse si está bien o está mal. Negar la ideología es la peor ideología que existe.
