Yesterday night, less than 50 days before the 2019 elections, we hosted Omer Benjakob at the Ulpan to learn about Israeli political system and those fighting to oust Netanyahu from power. Omer Benjakob is a journalist, a senior news editor at Haaretz in English, and a good friend of the Ulpan. In his 90 minute talk, Omer explains the current political situation in Israel, the difference between right, center and left, what are the real political blocs, and the different possible outcomes for the elections – as well as answering questions from the audience.
