Brooks, in addition to exhibiting in galleries, he has illustrated several children's books, and his work is frequently featured on the cover of DC LGBT magazine MetroWeekly. In 2019, Scott was one of 25 finalists in the Beautiful Bizarre Magazine Art Competition.
