Description

In this episode of the Connecting Through Cancer Podcast, host Kayla Keenan delves into the introspective topic of how our obituaries would read if written today. She shares personal anecdotes, including the process of writing her late husband Kyle's obituary, and why this exercise can bring clarity and perspective to our daily lives. Listeners are encouraged to reflect on their own lives and consider what legacy they are leaving behind. Kayla also reads and discusses the poignant self-written obituary of Asha Gregory, an inspiring individual who embraced life even amidst her cancer journey. The episode serves as a soft invitation to live intentionally and make meaningful choices, as we continually write our own stories.

INDY is short for "I'm Not Done Yet," a phrase often said by the late Kyle Strand during his courageous battle with colon cancer. Kyle's four-year journey was both extremely challenging and profoundly beautiful. Though he lost his battle in July 2017, his legacy lives on through his two dying wishes: to establish the INDY Foundation and to inspire others to live every day to its fullest. In August 2017, the INDY Foundation was born, continuing Kyle's mission to support and uplift cancer warriors everywhere. Find more information here: www.indy-foundation.org
