The buzz: Yes, you! A Design Thinking training participant told the instructor, “This is not for me. I am leaving.” The reason was not quality or pace, but a matter of fit. Creativity was supposed to be open to everybody; for this person, not so much. Should your company’s innovation program be open and broad-brush or selective and focused, a sprint or a marathon? Does great innovation require inspiration or perseverance, the right mindset or knowledge and skills, solitude or group thinking? The experts speak.
