In Deuteronomy 29:1 Moses explains that the Lord is making a new covenant with Israel in addition to the Mosaic Covenant (Covenant of the Law) made nearly 40 years earlier. This Covenant powerfully refutes Replacement Theology and foreshadows the rebirth and salvation of the Jewish nation in the future. This Covenant is unconditional. It is different from the New Covenant which comes later.
