The Replacements Tommy Stinson - Getting stupid (and clever) with Axl Rose, Gene Simmons, Tom Petty and...of course...Paul Westerberg
Description
Before January wraps, let's celebrate that 39 years ago this month on January 18, 1986, the Replacements got banned for life from SNL. In the middle of playing "Bastards of Young" on live TV, singer Paul Westerberg yelled to guitarist Bob Stinson, "Come on, F*cker!" during this guitar solo.
In a combo platter of VIDEO and audio featuring one of our favorite guests, Tommy Stinson tells the story of yet another rowdy New York incident when the band played at the legendary CBGB. When the God of Thunder, Gene Simmons from KISS, walked in the Replacements decided that being on their worst behavior was exactly what the occasion called for.

Tommy's on tour! In this episode, the Minneapolis kid who grew up playing bass in one of rock 'n' roll's most notorious bands talks about wearing dresses while opening for Tom Petty; Rock in Rio with Guns N' Roses in front of 500,000 fans and not being able to hear a thing; and the weather-induced fear of encountering a TORDANO on the road.
