·Pilocarpine was discovered over 100 years ago and was the first drug used for glaucoma. A diluted form in Allergan’s ™ Vuity™ is now used to assist certain subjects reduce their need for reading glasses.
·Brimonidine tartrate is used to treat glaucoma. A diluted form in Bausch & Lomb’s ™ Lumify™ is now an eye whitening drop.
·Oxymetazoline Hcl is used in the nasal spray Afrin™. A diluted form in RVL Pharmaceuticals, Inc™ is now used to elevated droopy eye lid(s).
·Varencline is used in the smoking cessation drug Chantix™. A dilute form in Oyster Point Pharma, Inc™ Trrvaya™ is now a neuro-stimulating nasal spray used to treat dry eye.
