Description

I’ve often wondered, while listening to any number of Carlos Niño’s projects or records, what a typical day of his looks like. I used that as a jumping off point to talk to him about collaboration and working as a producer, particularly his involvement with Thandi Ntuli’s beautiful new record, Rainbow Revisited. He shared stories about what drew him to her sound, touring Europe with Laraaji, and the community that makes his work hum. Carlos’s latest record, (I’m just) Chillin’, on Fire is out now on International Anthem.(I’m just) Chillin’, on FireRainbow RevisitedCarlos Niño on Bandcamp***Please Note that this is the last stand-alone Seltzer Salon episode as future conversations will now be part of the Foxy Digitalis Podcast***The Seltzer Salon is a concise, conversational podcast hosted by Brad Rose and produced by Foxy Digitalis. Each episode features a musician, artist, writer, or anyone, really, focusing on a single project or idea. I know we all have limited time each day, so I wanted to do something a little smaller scale with just as much impact, so episodes will be 25-45 minutes in length. Brad Rose is the the principal writer and editor-in-chief of Foxy Digitalis, an online music magazine and has run various DIY record labels for the last 30 years.Support Foxy Digitalis on PatreonSubscribe to our in-house label, The Jewel Gardenfoxydigitalis.zoneTwitter: @foxydigitalisInstagram: @foxy.digitalisBluesky: @foxydigitalis.bsky.socialMastodon: foxydigitalis@mastodonmusic.social
