Greed Corruption and Kidnapping
When Jason Saunders received a letter with an offer too good to refuse, his first impression is that it is a scam. However, the letter contained personal information that was not generally known. When Jason responds it results in his disappearance. Judd Ryker, working for the State Department, is assigned to find Jason. The trail leads to Nigeria, where many such letters originate.
Judd's wife Jessica works for the CIA. As Judd travels to Nigeria, Jessica travels to St. Petersburg, posing as an assassin who does jobs for the Russian mafia. She is given the job of eliminating an official in Nigeria, where their assignments cross and the action takes off. Greed, manipulation, corruption, kidnapping and some memorable characters make this an exciting read.

Looking forward to the next Ryker adventure
I just finished reading Todd Mosses 4th installment of the Judd Ryker series ..* The Shadow List *. Diplomatic/political thriller following my favorite problem solver Judd and his mysterious, slightly more intriguing wife Jessica.. meet the Rykers (not to be mistaken for the Cleavers or the Bradys). Judd is sent to Nigeria to find a way to free a kidnapped young banker .. but wait!. Nigeria , we have a problem!, there happens to also be a kidnapped basket ball player who, while visiting his native country to dedicate a hospital, finds himself taken from his car, hood on head and whisked away.. so.. Judd while you are there , can you work this one too?.. meanwhile in Russia , Jessica is gathering intel on a Russian mob boss.. posing as an assassin for hire.. hired to kill a judge in.. you guessed it , Nigeria!.. and guess who is helping Judd with his negotiations with kidnappers? you guessed it.. that very judge!
oh there is so much more to this book.. so many colorful characters.. so many back stories, so much fun to read. having said that I HIGHLY recommend reading the first three in the series. this one can wait. You need to really get to know the Rykers and this book just doesn't do that for you...read the series .. each book is much better appreciated in order.
