After you are initiated into a Sufi order, your job is to learn how to best fight your nafs. It is important to understand that the Shaykh's job is to help you do that. Sometimes people get confused about the Shaykh and his/her job. This is to remind you of your job as well as what is expected of the Shaykh/a.
