This book isn't what it seems
When I first purchased this book I thought I was getting a unique vampire love story, not the typical girl falls in love with the vampire and gets turned. The characters and the other worldly realm concepts are very cool, but the author doesn't go into very much detail when it comes to the story behind the main characters or the realms where they are from. It seems like she was more interested in writing explicit sex scenes rather than a good story which is very disappointing. Note to author: If you really enjoy writing paranormal novels, I would seriously consider rewriting this series. You leave out half of the main characters that are intricate part of the story. Then when you reach a critical part in the plot, it seems like you only thought about it for five seconds and quit writing. In regards to the ratings, I gave it a one star only because there wasn't a zero.

Another amazing story
I love it when Belladonna Bordeaux pulls us into her fantasy land. Okay--I'm a fan.
The Sire Bond is a prequel. Found that out by looking at her facebook page. I have to say, I always did wonder about the teaser she put into Primal Appetite about the maid who was saved. I knew she wouldn't let me down--and she didn't.
The story has these amazing characters who jump off the page and make you go ah--can I get me a little vampire action?
She's got this way of twisting the new rules (read that as True Blood and The Vampire Diaries) and making them fresh. She's obviously got her grip on this world but if heat is not your deal then she's not your thing.
I would suggest that you read her other stories in the series to get the basis of this one. Still, I think an informed and imaginative reader can build this out without the others.
She's on my auto buy list!
