The Stay Foundation, launched in August 2024, supports vulnerable Australians in the Hunter and Central Coast regions by helping them keep their pets during tough times. The charity provides emergency boarding, pet food drops, and financial aid for vet care. Tracey Johanson and Julie Tebby, two beneficiaries, share their stories of how the foundation helped them keep their dogs despite financial and health challenges. The foundations founder, Jesse Reinhard, started it after witnessing families surrender pets due to various issues. With over thirty thousand bags of food donated, the foundation aims to expand its services and prevent more pets from ending up in pounds.
