While the story I share here isn't a big secret, most people in my inner circle know it, it's not something I've ever shared publicly on social media (or here).  Mostly out of respect for my girls' privacy.  It wasn't until fairly recently that they even knew of some of the details.  It certainly wasn't something I wanted them reading about on Instagram or from a friend whose mom had heard it here.  So, after sharing with them and allowing them some time to start dealing with it, I figured it was time to share.

Please note:  I share this simply as a way for you to inside of my world a bit and understand better the perspective I bring to the table.  This is not an attempt to vilify their dad.  I have done a lot of healing and work around my relationship with him.  And, while there are still definitely days I'd like to smack him upside the head for the choices he makes, I have completely let go of the hurt and anger.
