Description

In this episode of Pride in Protest: The Podcast, Bridget talks to Alfred Pek, a Queer Indonesian filmmaker whose documentary feature film Freedom Street explores the story of three refugees: Joniad, Ashfaq and Azizah. Trapped in limbo for years on end due to Australia's Operation Sovereign Border and the Indonesian government, Freedom Street explores how 14,000 refugees became trapped in Indonesia, living in despicable conditions, without any rights, very little money and no hope for resettlement.
