Description

 This version of The Three Bears was adapted and illustrated by W.W. Denslow (1856-1915) and published by G.W. Dillingham Co, of New York in 1903. It is part of the rare book collection of the Library of Congress.   Adapted from the original story  written by Robert Southey and first published in 1837 in a collection of his essays and stories.
This version of the classic tale of the three bears has a heroine named Golden Hair. The jolly bears, instead of chasing her away from their home, come to live with her at Grandmother’s house. Read by Myron Hieronymous Thomas.
