Filmmaker, actor, and writer, Macon is known for his darkly comic and genre-bending storytelling. He first broke out with his lead role in Jeremy Saulnier’s acclaimed revenge thriller Blue Ruin (2013), later appearing in Green Room (2015) and Hold the Dark (2018). Blair made his directorial debut with I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore (2017), which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance. He’s since worked with Marvel (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, story consultant), and co-wrote Small Crimes (Netflix). In 2025, he brings his boldest project yet to the screen: The Toxic Avenger reboot, starring Peter Dinklage, Kevin Bacon, and Elijah Wood. Up next, Blair is reportedly developing new original projects in both film and television that continue his blend of offbeat humor, stylized violence, and outsider storytelling.
