The Boston College and NHL communities are mourning the tragic death of hockey star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, also a former BC hockey player, Matthew Gaudreau. The two brothers died Thursday while bicycling in New Jersey, when they were struck by a vehicle driven by an alleged drunk driver. Johnny was a superstar hockey player who led the Eagles to the Frozen Four in his junior season and was named the 2014 Hobey Baker Award Winner. Gaudreau went on to play in the NHL as a high scoring forward. We discussed this tragedy and the appropriate punishment for the alleged drunk driver.
