The Truth About Hillary
Objective not subjective reading. An insight into Hilary from a person who has no political agenda, it is so refreshing. The people who love Hilary will swear its a right wing smear campaign but I could find nothing that would lead me to believe this.
Right down party lines
I've always found Hillary Clinton to be an incredibly polarizing figure. You either love her or hate her. It should be fairly obvious from the reviews written here who's a Hillary fan and who isn't.
I thought the author did a pretty good job of shedding some light on the drive and ambition that Mrs. Clinton has posessed since childhood.
On the one hand it's an amazing testament to her because of what she has achieved, but it is also sad when you consider her win-at-all-costs attitude gets in the way of telling the truth on subjects like Whitewater to staying in a loveless marriage with a spouse incapable of fidelity because he just happens to be the President of the United States.
I realize that's a loaded statement full of my own personal opinion, but in the end, I don't think this book will change your opinion of Sen. Clinton. It will only reinforce what you already believe about her.
Behind the scenes
I was very glad I selected this book. It looks past the glossy images the Clinton's have publicly shown people and clues you into what motivated their behavior, and to my great satisfaction, placed a much needed 'reasoning' to the disjointed behaviors and televised events. After reading this book, I have walked away with a better understanding and a much needed... "Ah ha! So that's what really happened!". Knowing much of the behind-the-scenes events and catalysts, I can now see the trail of disjointed public "performances" with a clearer eye. I always questioned the shifting "versions" of Hillary that I was introduced to over the years; and the odd relationship between the Clintons. This book, and the many people introduced by the author, helped me gain a fuller understanding. Please read, even if you don't agree, to have a clearer perspective on political maneuvers.
Everything you already knew but...
This book confirms everything my intuition was already telling me about Hillary Clinton. My first "feeling" came after Bill was elected and then suddenly "Hillary Clinton" was now "Hillary Rodham-Clinton". Next, the health care debacle (did we elect her?), Vince Foster, etc. Living next door to DC, we get a constant stream of the goings on of the Rich and Political. This book explains why I had all those feelings and why all those strange people(like a Fellini film)started showing up in DC. The fatal flaw of the Clintons is that they both continue to underestimate the intelligence of the American People. They both thought that they could do what ever they wanted and we would not notice.
