About James Nestor: James is an author and journalist who has written for Scientific American, Outside Magazine, BBC, The New York Times, The Atlantic, National Public Radio, Surfer's Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, and more.
He spent the last several years working on a book called Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art. It released through Riverhead/Penguin Random House on May 26, 2020 and spent 18 weeks of the New York Times bestseller list in the first year of publication. Breath was also an instant Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Sunday London Times Top 10 bestseller and hit the lists in Spain and Italy along the way. Breath was awarded the prize for Best General Nonfiction Book of 2020 by the American Society of Journalists and Authors.
