Tomorrowland

There are countless songs written about tomorrow. And yet tomorrow doesn’t at this stage exist.

The word tomorrow represents the unknown. Some songs showcase the joy of looking forward to tomorrow, other songs express the worry associated with waiting for tomorrow.

Many of the songs are about a strained relationship with someone. How changes in a relationship might affect partners in the future. For others tomorrow is
symbolic of hope. Of a brighter day.

Dr Seuss, the American children’s author and cartoonist put it this way:

"Today was good/Today was fun/Tomorrow is another one."

So, why are so many songs written about something that doesn't exist?

The hopes and fears may never arrive, so let's leave it as just the day after this one.
