The Wholeness Show - Episode 3: Talking Body, Mind & Soul with Helena Yan
Description
In this episode, we’re joined by Helena Yan, a Business School graduate turned Pilates teacher, Yogi, Zumba instructor and a certified life coach. She’s a very international woman, being of Chinese descent but has lived in various across all over the world, and recently arrived in Cambodia a few months ago with her family.
Helena is an accredited Associate Certified Coach under the ICF, one of only three ICF accredited coaches in Cambodia. The ICF is the largest and most reputable accrediting body for professional coaches in the world and represents a group of coaches dedicated to upholding a professional quality and code of ethics. Many coaches train at different schools and learn different approaches (e.g. Sokcheng, who studied with Co-Active Trianing Institute), but these training programs are all accredited to be of sufficient quality by the ICF.
In this conversation, we explore the impact of the body and regular physical activities on shifting our mental, physical and spiritual states, both in the moment but also longer-term. I love how the different stages of personal development that Helena was going through INSIDE was reflected by different EMBODIMENT PRACTICE OUTSIDE that she was inviting into her life – first Pilates, then Yin Yoga then Zumba. And how finally she moved into coaching, training with an MCC, and is now looking to integrate her expertise and experience in these areas. She is passionate about bringing wholeness to her coaching, mind, body and soul. I’m excited to introduce her to you all.
