The eBussy: Ten Different Electric Vehicles In One
Description
The eBussy is a highly innovative, modular light electric vehicle concept from the German company Electric Brands. Often compared to a Volkswagen Type 2 transporter platform due to its box-on-wheels design and space utilization, the eBussy is designed to transform into ten different variants, including a camper van, pickup truck, and box van. It features hub-mounted electric motors that deliver 20 HP alongside an astounding 737 lb-ft of torque. The standard 10 kWh battery claims a 200 km (124 miles) range, though many critics argue this range is highly unrealistic given its aerodynamics. An optional 30 kWh pack targets up to 600 km (370-375 miles). The vehicle, which starts around $18,273 (€15,800), also proposes integrated solar panels and hot-swappable batteries. Skepticism remains high regarding the feasibility of its ambitious specifications and whether the concept will move beyond renderings.
