Description

My plan is to give a slow introduction to the use of the logarithmic Laplace transform in obtaining bounds on the isotropic constants of convex bodies. We will review the proofs of Bourgain's n^{1/4} bound, the bound by the width of the thinshell, and the bound in term of the sub-gaussian coefficient. This talk is based on joint works with Ronen Eldan and with Emanuel Milman.
