About Maryam:
Maryam De Groef is a grief educator, nervous system regulation facilitator, and integrative health coach whose work bridges personal loss and professional practice. After the sudden death of her 9-year-old daughter Zeynah in 2023 and her family’s decision to donate her organs, Maryam became a public voice in pediatric loss, compassionate care, and legacy. She leads somatic grief retreats, trauma-informed workshops, and is the founder of Refuge of the Heart and Restore & Rebalance. This September, she embarked on a PhD at Western University focusing on memory, legacy, and faith in pediatric organ donation.
