Description

On this episode of the Three-Inning Save podcast, the Dodgers dropped the series opener to the Angels in Anaheim, losing for a second straight day. The Dodgers lead the Padres by only one game, the closest the National League West has been since June 14.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto allowed six runs, his most allowed in 41 major league starts, and the Dodgers trailed 7-0 before Shohei Ohtani and Max Muncy homered in the eighth inning to pull within three runs. Old friend Kenley Jansen picked up his 487th career save, but for the Angels.

The Three-Inning Save is part of the Fans First Sports Network. Hosted by Eric Stephen and Jacob Burch, with questions from Craig Minami. Produced by Brian Salvatore.
