For an ex-felon any contact with law enforcement can be very intimidating if not terrifying. It brings back memories that one has tried to bury and also the fear of the unknown. In this episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with Eboni who has been in the field of probation for almost twenty years. And as you can imagine, she has seen and heard it all from the ex-felons that have been repeat offenders to the ex-felons who learned their lessons from their time served and are doing all that they can to stay on the positive side of the tracks. She brings about a different perspective and let’s into her realm of the laws, why they exist, programs and resources available to ex-felons as well as what probation and parole officers hope will happen once an ex-felon is released and mainstreamed back into society.
