TikTok's US operations are now set to be majority-owned and controlled by Americans, severing ties with its Chinese parent company, ByteDance. A deal brokered between US and Chinese officials will give Americans six out of seven board seats and place the TikTok algorithm under US control. Oracle will serve as the security provider, ensuring American user data is protected and stored in the US.
