There’s something to be said about a man who through his own efforts takes the initiative to make the first move. If you are like me and most of the women I know – our desire is for a man, who has caught our eye, to have enough gusto to acknowledge us, approach us, make plans to pursue us and impress us without feeling as though the woman is the one responsible to find him, then pursue him and then have to take the lead and guide him along the relationship process. In today’s culture it seems like more and more women are encouraged to shoot their shot! With some women even having success stories! I too on multiple occasions have figuratively stood at the free-throw line to shoot my shot! The first time I did it, I was super embarrassed to find out that the man was just being friendly – as he was engaged to be married. Another time, I think the guy felt obligated to ask me out and the entire date it’s as if he didn’t want to be there, his sour face throughout the night said it all - it was a miserable night for both he and I. On a different occasion, I totally misinterpreted that a man’s position at the architectural firm he worked for would be the thing that would make for a happy life. In the end, shooting my shot, has not once produced the result I so desperately wanted in my life. I have missed every single time. In today’s episode we explore the topic of finding… Today’s question is do I continue trying to find the one? Or if it’s the other way around, how can I best position myself to be found?
