Trapped in the Closet: Part I
Trapped in the Closet: Part I
Update: 2022-06-15
Description
In support of Pride Month, Provokin' Dialogue will be dedicating June episodes to help elevate the voices of the queer community by encouraging support and healthy dialogue.
Part I begins with Shaquan discussing his battle with understanding his sexual identity at a young age. With the pressures of society and his upbringing, Shaquan reflects on how this lack of understanding grew into anxiety and led him down a path of depression, self-hate, and suicidal thoughts. Now in his adulthood, Shaquan expresses how accepting his identity helped him out of depression and allowed him to open up and find support through friends and family.
