Description

In this episode of Amos Rex’s podcast, curator and writer dr. Nat Muller interviews artists Larissa Sansour and Søren Lind about their artistic practice. This is the first of two episodes delving into Sansour and Lind’s art, titled Trauma and Identity. In it, Muller, Sansour and Lind discuss the meaning of trauma and memory in the construction of Palestinian identity, inherited trauma, the use of sci-fi in the artits’ works, and the universal nature of the works and themes.

Palestinian-Danish artist Larissa Sansour and Danish artist and author Søren Lind’s works are on view at Amos Rex until March 2nd, 2025. The exhibition opens up a space for new ways of thinking about Palestinian history, loss and trauma. Sansour’s carefully considered and aesthetically refined video works and installations weave historical and contemporary politics with imagined realities, using the narrative methods of sci-fi, documentary and opera.
