This week Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a surprise visit to Ukraine and reopened the Canadian Embassy in Kyiv. A move which mirrors many allies recently who've visited the country devastated by the Russian invasion.

As well Quebec is planning to force all Quebec colleges to require 5 French courses to pass, and will require indigenous populations to teach French to their people. This new law meant to preserve the "French Heritage" is being criticized as a move to destroy native cultures and further divide the province away from the larger nation.
